Gtechniq & SunTek Warranty

Below are details of the Gtechniq and SunTek warranties. Please review the warranty information relevant to your service. Gtechniq and SunTek, the issuers of these warranties, may update their terms and conditions from time to time

1. WHAT IS THE GTECHNIQ WARRANTY?

The Gtechniq Guarantee ensures that professionally applied ceramic coatings and surface protection products maintain their durability and performance over time. Designed to provide long-lasting protection, Gtechniq coatings shield your vehicle against environmental damage, chemical wear, and loss of gloss, keeping it looking newer for longer.

This warranty offers coverage of up to 9 years, depending on the specific coating applied and proper maintenance.

2. WHAT ARE THE BASIC TERMS TO BENEFIT FROM THE GTECHNIQ WARRANTY?

To activate and maintain the Gtechniq Warranty, the following conditions must be met:

The warranty applies only to professionally applied Gtechniq ceramic coatings.
The warranty must be registered online within 30 days of application via guarantee.gtechniq.com.
Customers must follow Gtechniq’s official maintenance routine.
Regular inspections and proper care are required to ensure the warranty remains valid.

3. WHAT IS COVERED?

For the duration of the warranty period, Gtechniq guarantees that their coatings will:

  • Maintain high-gloss levels and resist oxidation
  • Provide chemical resistance against bird droppings, tar, and environmental contaminants
  • Offer hydrophobic properties, enhancing water beading and ease of cleaning
  • Enhance surface protection, reducing the impact of staining, etching, and UV damage

4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

The Gtechniq Warranty does not cover the following:

Damage resulting from improper care, neglect, or failure to follow maintenance guidelines
 Damage caused by stone chips, deep scratches, accidents, or bodywork repairs
Application by non-certified professionals
Use of abrasive products, automatic car washes, or harsh chemicals
Vehicles used for commercial purposes (unless specified)

5. TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WARRANTY VALIDITY

For the warranty to remain valid, the following conditions must be fulfilled:

The coating must be applied by a Gtechniq-accredited detailer.
The correct Gtechniq products must be used and applied per manufacturer guidelines.
The warranty must be registered online within 30 days of application.
The customer must follow the Gtechniq-recommended maintenance schedule, including periodic servicing and the use of approved Gtechniq aftercare products.
The vehicle must not be washed in an automatic car wash or cleaned using unapproved detergents.
The warranty remains valid only for the registered owner and is non-transferable.
The coating must remain on the original factory paintwork, with no modifications or resprays.

If any of these conditions are not met, the warranty may be considered void.

6. WARRANTY MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

To maintain your Gtechniq Warranty, you must:

Wash your vehicle regularly using pH-neutral shampoos and avoid harsh chemicals.
Perform routine inspections to ensure the coating remains intact.
Follow Gtechniq’s official aftercare guidelines using their recommended maintenance products.
Avoid high-pressure washing directly on sensitive areas.

7. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

If you believe your Gtechniq coating is failing under warranty, follow these steps:

  1. Contact your installer. The original certified detailer must assess the issue.
  2. Provide proof of warranty. Ensure you have your warranty certificate and maintenance records.
  3. Submit a claim. If deemed a genuine issue, the installer will assist in submitting a claim to Gtechniq.
  4. Inspection & resolution: If approved, Gtechniq will provide an appropriate repair or reapplication of the coating.

    1. WHAT IS THE SUNTEK PPF WARRANTY?

    The SunTek PPF Warranty guarantees that professionally installed SunTek Paint Protection Films (PPF) will maintain their integrity and performance over time. Designed to protect your vehicle’s paintwork from scratches, chips, road debris, and environmental contaminants, SunTek PPF features self-healing properties and a durable, stain-resistant finish.

    This warranty provides up to 10 years of protection, ensuring your PPF remains in top condition when properly maintained.

    2. WHAT IS WARRANTED?

    SunTek guarantees that its Paint Protection Films, including Ultra, Reaction, Ultra Matte, and Ultra Black, will be free from manufacturing defects for up to 10 years from the date of installation when applied by an authorised installer such as Pro Detailing UK.

    This warranty covers:

    • Yellowing, bubbling, and cracking: protection against visual deterioration caused by UV exposure or environmental conditions.

    • Self-healing surface: Minor surface marks and swirl scratches disappear with heat from the sun or engine.

    • Resistance to stains and discolouration: Protects against bird droppings, road grime and other contaminants.

    • Durability against peeling and adhesive failure: No lifting or edge failure when the film is maintained correctly.

    Additional cover for speciality films:

    • Reaction: Offers all the protection of Ultra with an added ceramic layer, providing superior chemical resistance and enhanced water beading in one single film.

    • Ultra Matte: Delivers all the benefits of Ultra with a refined satin finish, warrantied to maintain its texture and clarity over time.

    • Ultra Black: Combines the proven protection of Ultra with a deep, gloss black finish that retains colour and durability.

    All SunTek PPFs are covered under warranty when installed on the original manufacturer paintwork and maintained in line with the recommended care guidelines.

      3. WHAT IS NOT WARRANTED?

      The SunTek PPF Warranty does not cover the following:

      • Damage caused by improper installation or unapproved application techniques
      • Surface damage due to accidents, vandalism, or misuse
      • Exposure to extreme conditions outside normal use, including track use, off-road damage, or harsh chemicals
      • Failure to follow maintenance guidelines, including washing with unapproved detergents or using automated car washes
      • Damage from aftermarket modifications or application of unapproved coatings over the PPF

      4. TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WARRANTY VALIDITY

      For the SunTek PPF Warranty to remain valid, the following conditions must be met:

      • The PPF installation must be performed by an authorised SunTek installer.
      • The film must not be altered or coated with any non-approved products.
      • The vehicle must not be washed for the first 14 days following installation to allow the film to settle.
      • The car must not be cleaned in automatic or commercial car washes that use abrasive rollers or high-pressure washing.
      • The PPF must be maintained as per SunTek’s care guidelines using pH-neutral cleaning products.
      • The warranty applies only to the registered owner and is non-transferable.
      • The warranty is void if the vehicle undergoes bodywork repairs or repaints in protected areas.

      Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the warranty being void.

      5. WARRANTY MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

      To maintain warranty coverage, the vehicle owner must:

      • Regularly wash the car using pH-neutral shampoos and avoid harsh chemicals.
      • Avoid high-pressure washing directly at the edges of the PPF.
      • Follow SunTek’s official aftercare recommendations for long-term durability.
      • Periodically inspect the PPF for any early signs of lifting or wear.

      6. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

      If you experience an issue covered under the SunTek PPF Warranty, follow these steps:

      1. Contact your installer. The original certified detailer must assess the issue.
      2. Provide proof of warranty. Ensure you have your warranty certificate and service records.
      3. Submit a claim. If deemed a genuine issue, the installer will assist in submitting a claim to SunTek.
      4. Inspection & resolution: If approved, SunTek will provide an appropriate repair or replacement of the PPF.
